My journey in life has not always been a pleasant one. This is true in a lot of cases, unfortunately! As a child, I was removed from my birth Mother and Father and placed in foster homes for about 2 and a half years, from the age of 5 until about 7 and a half. When I was adopted is when my fortune turned for the worst! I had difficulties adjusting and I did not have the right mindset to deal with these things as an adolescent.

By the age of 11, I had absolutely no self-esteem and I started to develop a desire to cause myself physical pain to get out of that mindset. I had committed self-mutilation up until I was 24 years old. That 13 years of my life…
